Originally from Sumter SC, began engineering in 2003. He’s primarily taught through countless hours of schooling, mixing as well as following favorite engineers, Chris Lord Alge and Young Guru until his own signature sound was developed. He started a self-owned studio, Mastered Minds Music in 2009, which was regarded as the 1st documented licensed Home Recording Studio in Wichita KS. After 4 years he took a brief hiatus for personal family time and reorganizing. In 2015, Daryl joined the 1000 Network as one of their primary engineers with noteworthy clients to include direct affiliates of Wu Tang Clan. That association led him to the internet streaming station Phenom Radio and in 2017 he further progressed to becoming their Regional A&R. He currently continues to work with artist as an Audio Engineer as well as shouldering his role as tastemaker for the Midwest region. “I definitely love what I do…more so helping artist achieve an elevated level of quality and development. I believe in building relationships with my clients because I get to learn exactly what they want their music to sound like. What keeps me relevant is the ability to adapt to the style of mixing compatible to the Artist’s preference and listening audience”.
